Cranberry Fire Company seeking Associate Members

In an effort to bolster its brigade of first responders, the Cranberry Township Volunteer Fire Company has created a new category of membership for qualified volunteer firefighters from neighboring communities.

The new category – Associate Membership – is restricted to those who have served as volunteers in their home communities for at least two years and who hold certification as Firefighter I or higher. A stipend will be paid to Associate Members, and shifts at all times – day, evening, and overnight – are available for Associates, although daylight hour coverage is currently the greatest need.

Professional development opportunities for firefighters will be offered to all Associate Members. Participants in the program will also have access to the Fire Company’s newly expanded, state-of-the-art fire station which includes overnight bunk-in quarters, workstations with wi-fi connections, day rooms, and a workout room outfitted with all new equipment.
