| Spending some time on the street in the first due allows you save precious time at an incident. After some facility preplanning the CTVFC has decided to alter our bumper line/load.
There are some unique housing arrangements in our area and we found that our 100ft line was short and the 200ft was too long. Even more so if you pull the 300 as the longer back up line due to lack of options.
The scorpion load allows you to grab the nozzle and the fold that is tucked into the bale and walk away in any direction and it deploys all 150 feet in 50 feet. This gives the line a little more diversity vs the old 100ft configuration that was traditionally only used for car fires and dumpster fires only. |
