The Cranberry Township Volunteer Fire Company is proud to afford members opportunities to grow inside and outside our organization through our tuition reimbursement program.

To qualify, members must be active for one full quarter and certified Firefighter 1, however new recruits can be also eligible in as little as 3 months after starting Firefighter 1 certification classes.

Assistance can be provided for any post-secondary learning institute, ie. college (undergrad, graduate), community college, trade school, etc., as long as the member maintains a GPA of 2.5 or higher and maintains an active status with CTVFC.

Members are eligible for up to $10,000 per year, split into two $5,000 awards. Tuition reimbursement covers cost of tuition, fees, room and board, and other expenses (books, supplies, etc.) Members must submit an application and meet all requirements to be accepted into the program. Reimbursement funds provided by CTVFC are paid after the completion of the term with proof of expenses paid.

This generous program is funded by a SAFER Grant (Staffing for Adequate Fire and Emergency Response) through FEMA. The program will run through June, 2027.
