At 12:30AM, crews from the CTVFC were dispatched along with Cranberry Township EMS to a motor vehicle crash on Route 228 near the Interstate 79 overpass. Crews arrived to find one vehicle had struck a utility pole and was well off the roadway with one occupant still trapped inside. Engine 21-2 and Squad 21-2 extricated the patient from the vehicle and assisted with traffic control until power could be restored to the traffic signals. Units remained on-scene for several hours before returning into service.
