At 18:23 hours, Cranberry Township Fire (Station 21) and EMS (Station 51) were dispatched to a reported vehicle fire at the Cranberry Commons shopping center on Route 228. Chief 21-2 arrived to find a well involved vehicle parked in the first row with fire extending to other adjacent vehicles. Rescue 21 and Engine 21-3 arrived on-scene and quickly extinguished the fire. Two other vehicles did sustain damage due to the fire. Crews encountered a ruptured oil pan during extinguishment, but fortunately there were no injuries.
