January 10, 2020

A full firefighter service and final call are scheduled for two Township residents who spent their lives bravely keeping their community safe.

Mark Nanna, who served as Fire Prevention Administrator for the Township’s Building and Zoning Codes Department, passed away Wednesday.

His brother, Lee Nanna, passed away Thursday morning, just hours after learning of Mark’s passing.

Both Mark and Lee were life members of the Cranberry Township Volunteer Fire Company. Mark was a past Chief, while Lee was a former President.

Private visitation for immediate family as well as firefighters and their families is scheduled for 6-8 p.m. Sunday, January 12. A firefighter service with the final radio call will take place at 7 p.m.

Public visitation is scheduled for 3-8 p.m. Monday, January 13 at Boylan-Glenn-Kildoo Funeral Home.

The funeral will take place at 11 a.m. Tuesday, January 14 at Dutilh United Methodist Church. Interment will immediately follow at Pinewood Memorial Park. A luncheon will take place at the church following interment.

IT IS WRITTEN IN THE GOOD BOOK 'NO GREATER LOVE HAS A MAN THAT HE WOULD LAY DOWN HIS OWN LIFE IN THE SERVICE OF HIS FELLOW MAN.' BOTH MARK AND LEE NANNA LIVED THEIR LIVES BY THESE WORDS. THEY HAVE NOW ANSWERED THE LAST CALL AND THEIR WORK ON EARTH IS DONE. BUT MAKE NO MISTAKE THE MEMORIES AND THE LEGACY OF SERVICE THAT THEY LEAVE BEHIND THEM WILL NEVER BE FORGOTTEN BY THOSE OF US THAT HAVE HAD THE HONOR TO HAVE KNOW AND SERVED OUR COMMUNITY WITH THESE BRAVE MEN.
