The event is meant to simulate the busiest shift you will ever see at a firehouse. 12 companies staffed by 65 firefighters responded to over 100 simulated calls that were organized by a team of 40 instructors. We also handled 9 real life calls in the area. These simultaed calls varied from structure fires, vehicle fires, dumpster fires, searches, technical rescues, fire alarms, and medical calls. The particiapants staffed their apparatus at the Park firehouse and ever time they were dispatched they had to deal with a new challenge or problem that was never the same.
We are extremely proud to be able to host this type of unique training event. This event hands down has made better firefigthers. We do this through repetitive actions that focus on the basic tasks of being a firefighter. We want to thank all of the companies, participants, and the instructors for the dedication and focus they had for the multiple days of prep, their conduct during the event, and the great care they took cleaning up afterwards. We also want to thank the township, without them this wouldnt be possible!
