At 14:15, Station 21 along with Station 51 and the SAFER Group (Station 90) were alerted to the 700 block of Slate Avenue in Cranberry Township for a reported fire underneath a mobile home. Chief 21, Engine 21-3 and Fire Police responded with 10 personnel and arrived to find a smoke coming from the bottom of the structure and obvious fire damage that appeared to be extinguished. Crews deployed a hoseline, preformed overhaul, and checked for extension at the structure. The assignment was held to Station 21 units with units remaining on-scene for around an hour and a half before returning in service. The Red Cross was called to assist the residents displaced by the fire.
