At just after 10 am this morning Stations 21 and 51 were alerted for a garbage truck on fire. The driver had found a clear spot on Unionville Rd where he could safely dump his contents on the side of the road. When units arrived the expelled garbage was on fire on the side of the road and worked to quickly to extinguish it. A Township loader was called to assist in getting the garbage into a new truck so it could be taken to the dump. Crews operated for about an hour and returned in service.
