September 21, 2016 | |
The morning, just before lunchtime, Adams Area Assistant Chief Llewellyn requested assistance from Cranberry Station 21 for the smell of smoke in a commercial structure just off of Route 228 in Adams Township. Engine 21-3 responded with a crew of three immediately followed by Engine 21 with a crew of 2. Additional units from Callery station 19, and Wexford station 228 were also called in for mutual aid. Shortly after arrival, crews discovered that a money counter has overheated causing the smell of smoke. Crews removed the overheated unit, and provided ventilation. Crews were back in service within an hour. |
