At 1:14pm on an otherwise quiet Labor Day weekend, Stations 21 and 51 were dispatched to a reported vehicle fire in the parking lot outside a local auto repair shop on Route 19. Police and EMS arrived on scene and reported a pickup truck was on fire beside the building and multiple other cars were parked close by. CTVFC responded with 15 personnel, bringing Engine 21-3, Rescue 21, Ladder 21 and Fire Police to the scene. Crews worked to control the fire that had already spread to 2 adjacent vehicles. Units operated for about an hour before returning into service.

Due to the proximity to the building, Harmony Fire District (22) was requested to assist but later was returned into service as CTVFC was able to get the fire under control.
