Fire Prevention Program Receives Accolades

Earlier this month the Cranberry Township Volunteer Fire Company was notified that for 2015 our fire safety and education program was awarded third place in the state by the Firemen's Association of the State of Pennsylvania. This award is sponsored by VFIS, and members from our fire safety and education committee with be attending the annual convention of the Firemen's Association on September 23rd to receive our award.

In awarding this to the Cranberry Township Volunteer Fire Company, Sandy Waybrant - Awards Committee Chairman for the Firemen's Association stated " These awards are presented to the top nine Fire Companies/Departments, who in the opinion of the Awards Committee have done an outstanding job of providing Fire Safety Education Programs to the citizens of their community."

Congratulations are especially in order for the members of our fire safety and education committee led by Chris DeCree and Jack Carney.
